Hygge (pronounced "hoo-guh") is the Scandinavian concept of getting really comfortable or "cozy." It usually involves candles, low-lighting, a good book, good company, and hot drinks. But those are the details. It's really more of a state of well-being or contentment.
It works because it helps us be mindful. Hygge is the art of slowing down. It's being aware. It's being grateful. It's knowing where "enough" is.
Maybe we all need a little more hygge in our lives.
