Week 10 '18 reflection
Well, sometimes embarrassing things happen. And sometimes there's really not much you can do about it. Like accidentally sending the wrong email to the wrong people. Or like having a wide open shot on a goal and totally whiffing. Hate it when that happens.
Anyway, back to this week: we booked our small journey to New York City and are basically all packed and ready to go. Times are changing fast. But it's exciting. We are rushing to get everything done we need to get done—saying goodbye to everyone we can. This week will be more of the same. Then we get to drive across the country!
I talk a lot about when things don't work out. But I don't give enough attention to considering if things do work out. Instead of always planning on the worst, what if we plan for the best? Does that make us naive? Does that make us out of touch because we are overly optimistic? I don't think so. I think it makes us happier. I think it helps us achieve bigger things than the alternative.
It's good to dream. To have grand visions of our lives. To plan as if we are going to live forever but live as if we are going to die tomorrow. Sure, sometimes things don't go as planned. That's okay. But that doesn't mean we still can't move on and work toward the day when things do.
