I remember one of my managers used to always say that it’s easier to do something 100% of the time than 98% of the time. What I think my manage was talking about, was habits. We are creatures of habit, for better or for worse. Our habits can either propel us to new heights or send us spiraling down into the abyss.
It’s easier to wake up at 6:30 every morning than to take the weekends off and have to restart your morning routine every Monday.
It’s easier to call every lead than to guess and hope you reach the right one.
It’s easier to eat the right foods all the time than to say you’ll start your new diet tomorrow.
The same goes for your side projects, working out, reading, improving your skills, networking.
“You pile up enough tomorrow’s, and you’ll be left with nothing but a lot of empty yesterday’s.”
What difference would that last 2% of effort make? What if it made all the difference?
