You'll see people smile, encounter awkward situations, have strangers honk at you, and make new friends. Do this every day, and you'll never run out of interesting stories to tell. And, chances are, you'll bump into others who are running their own errands. Most of whom are strangers.
No matter what you do, who you are, what your world view is, you're going to offend some of them. And, although it's not your job to please everyone (that's a fool's errand), it can be your mission to leave an impression, make an impact.
It might be the bank teller's job to assist you, but it can be your goal to make their day. And don't let it ruin your day if they deny your gift. You can't control how people react. Simply enjoy the satisfaction of giving.
Run your errands. But remember, as you go from one place to the next, that there are other people around you who are trying their best to run theirs.
