It’s ironic, when it comes to measuring skills, hard is easy and soft is difficult.
Hard skills are quantifiable. You can usually track them in spreadsheets. They’re things you put on your resume and they’ll help ensure you receive your bonus.
Soft skills are why you do what you do. They’re what make you indispensable.
You’ll need to work on both. But don’t fall into the trap of merely focusing on hard skills because they’re easier to develop and measure…and hide behind.
