Don’t wish for more time to get something done, wish for a deadline.
Deadlines work. When you set a date, things happen. People make decisions, products get delivered, promises are kept.
If you are constantly finding yourself waiting until the very last minute to reach the deadline, move the deadline forward. You will work faster and be able to do more work.
Set a schedule. Write it down. Be accountable to it. Follow it.
Once you have set a deadline, announce a specific delivery date. If you don’t, then you’re probably not serious.
Once you have delivered, make setting and keeping dates a habit. It’s what professionals do.
