Avoiding bubbles

The line of cars driving around Target looking for a closer parking spot.

The hoards of people rushing to buy .000078 Bitcoin.

Just because you can buy 2 houses, a vacation home, and a condo, doesn’t mean you should.

If everyone around you is doing the same thing, sooner or later, there will be a bubble waiting to burst.

When you’re pumping up a balloon, and you have an overabundance of air, would you really keep filling up the same balloon, beyond its limits? Or would you direct your resources toward the next balloon?

That’s how bubbles work. They’re important until they’re not. But before they’re worth nothing, they’re expensive, slow, and produce weak results.

If you keep investing in bubbles you may ride the wave and get lucky, or you may end up with just air.
